Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 8 September 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to services provided by AKA Kickboxing Limited, trading as All Star Kids Kickboxing ("All Star", "we", "us" or "our").

By booking a free trial, purchasing a membership or allowing a child to participate in our classes, the parent or legal guardian agrees to these Terms & Conditions.

Our website and booking system are intended for use by parents and legal guardians, not children directly.

1. Free Trial

New students may attend a free trial class before deciding whether to join.

The trial is completely free and there is no obligation to purchase a membership afterwards.

Free trials are subject to class capacity and availability.

2. Membership

Our standard membership is £40 per month and provides one regular class per week during our scheduled teaching programme.

The membership programme is based on 44 classes across the operating year.

The monthly payment is a recurring membership fee and should not be interpreted as payment for exactly four individual classes in each calendar month. Depending on the calendar and scheduled breaks, the number of classes falling within an individual month may vary.

Additional weekly classes may be purchased separately where available.

Memberships are personal to the registered child and cannot be transferred to another person.

3. Joining and Initial Equipment

Following a free trial, parents who wish their child to join will be provided with information allowing them to purchase the appropriate membership through our website.

An initial joining offer or joining package may apply in addition to the regular monthly membership. The price and contents of any such offer will be clearly stated before purchase.

Where the joining package includes uniform and protective equipment, this is intended to provide the student with the equipment required to participate safely and appropriately in their classes.

4. Payments

Membership payments are collected automatically using the payment method selected during registration and are processed through Stripe.

Membership continues on a recurring basis until cancelled.

Parents are responsible for ensuring that their payment information remains valid and that payments can be collected when due.

If a payment fails, we may temporarily suspend participation until the membership payment has been resolved.

5. Cancelling Membership

There is no minimum notice period required to cancel a membership.

Parents have the ability to manage and cancel their own membership. Cancellation must be completed before the next scheduled payment if the parent does not wish that payment to be taken.

Cancelling a membership stops future renewal. It does not retrospectively cancel the current paid membership period.

If a membership is cancelled partway through a paid period, the child may continue attending until the end of that paid membership period. No partial or pro-rata refund will be provided for the unused portion of that period.

6. Missed Classes

If a student misses their scheduled class for any reason, including illness, holidays or other personal commitments, the missed class cannot normally be carried forward, credited, refunded or made up at another session.

Membership reserves the child's regular place within the programme rather than operating on a pay-as-you-attend basis.

7. Classes Cancelled by All Star

If we have to cancel a scheduled class, we will take reasonable steps to provide an alternative opportunity for the affected students.

This may include attendance at an appropriate class at another All Star Kids Kickboxing location, an additional replacement class, or a suitable make-up session, workshop or camp held during a school holiday period.

The exact alternative offered may depend on venue availability, class capacity and the circumstances of the cancellation.

8. Scheduled Closures and Holidays

Our regular programme is structured around approximately 44 teaching weeks per year.

There will therefore be scheduled periods during which normal classes do not operate, including holiday periods and other planned closures.

We currently expect normal memberships to be paused during the August closure, so recurring membership payments are not taken for that period.

Other scheduled breaks, including periods around Christmas, Easter or school holidays, form part of the annual 44-week teaching programme.

We will communicate significant scheduled closures to members.

9. Uniform and Protective Equipment

Students must use appropriate clothing and protective equipment as required for the activities being undertaken.

The initial joining package may provide items such as:

  • Boxing gloves

  • Shin protection

  • All Star T-shirt

  • All Star training trousers

  • Other appropriate equipment where required

Students are expected to use the required protective equipment during relevant activities.

If parents purchase replacement or alternative protective equipment themselves, it must be presented to an instructor where requested so that we can confirm that it is appropriate for the student's age, activity and level of training.

We reserve the right to prevent the use of equipment that an instructor reasonably considers unsuitable or unsafe.

10. Physical Activity and Risk

Kickboxing and martial arts are physical activities. As with all sports and physical exercise, participation carries an inherent risk of accidental injury.

Parents and guardians are responsible for deciding whether their child is fit and able to participate.

Any injury, illness, physical limitation or other circumstance that could reasonably affect a child's ability to participate safely should be brought to the instructor's attention before the class.

Students must follow instructors' safety directions and use required protective equipment.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability arising from our negligence where applicable.

11. Behaviour and Safety

We want our classes to provide a safe, positive and enjoyable environment for all students.

Students are expected to follow instructors' directions and behave appropriately towards instructors, other students, venue staff and members of the public.

Parents and guardians are also expected to behave appropriately when communicating with instructors, staff, other families and venues.

We reserve the right to refuse participation, suspend a student or terminate a membership where behaviour is persistently disruptive, abusive, threatening, dangerous or otherwise seriously detrimental to the safety or wellbeing of students, instructors or others.

Where reasonably possible, we will attempt to address behavioural concerns with the parent or guardian before terminating a membership, except where immediate action is considered necessary for safety or safeguarding reasons.

12. Class Locations and Timetables

Classes operate at the locations and times published on our website and booking system.

We may occasionally need to change an instructor, class time, venue or other operational arrangement.

Where a significant change affects an existing member, we will make reasonable efforts to provide appropriate notice.

Places in particular classes are subject to availability and appropriate age and ability groupings.

13. Age and Class Placement

All Star Kids Kickboxing provides children's kickboxing classes across different age and ability groups.

Class placement is determined by factors including the child's age, experience, ability, class capacity and the instructor's assessment of the most appropriate training environment.

We may recommend moving a student to another class as they develop or where we believe another group would be more appropriate.

14. Parents and Guardians

The adult registering a child confirms that they are the child's parent or legal guardian, or otherwise have appropriate authority to arrange the child's participation.

Parents are responsible for providing accurate contact information and keeping those details up to date.

Important operational information may be communicated by email, telephone, WhatsApp or through our website or booking system.

15. WhatsApp Member Communications

We may provide members with access to a WhatsApp information group or similar communication service.

These groups are primarily intended to allow All Star Kids Kickboxing to distribute important information, such as timetable updates, closures, events and class information.

Where configured as an announcement group, parents will not be able to use the group for general member-to-member conversation.

16. Photography and Video

We do not currently routinely photograph or film children for promotional purposes.

If this changes, identifiable photographs or video of children will only be used for promotional purposes following an appropriate consent process with the child's parent or guardian.

17. Personal Information

Personal information provided through our website, booking system or membership process will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

18. Changes to Our Services or These Terms

We may occasionally make reasonable changes to our timetable, membership arrangements, services or these Terms & Conditions.

Where a change materially affects an existing membership, we will take reasonable steps to notify affected parents in advance.

The latest version of these Terms & Conditions will be available on our website.

19. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Nothing in these Terms affects a consumer's statutory rights.
